Your Medicare Annual Enrollment Checklist (October 15 – December 7)
A simple checklist for reviewing your Medicare Advantage or Part D plan during Annual Enrollment, from your local Fremont County Medicare team.
Every fall, Medicare's Annual Enrollment Period runs from October 15 through December 7. It's your chance to change Medicare Advantage or prescription drug plans for the coming year. Plans change their costs, networks and drug lists every year, so a quick review is worth it even if you were happy last year.
Before you meet with us
Bring these to your appointment:
- Your current Medicare and plan ID cards
- A list of every prescription, with dose
- Your doctors, specialists and preferred pharmacy
- Your plan's Annual Notice of Change letter (usually mailed in late September)
- Any big health changes coming next year
Questions to ask
Are my doctors still in network? Did my drug costs change? Has my maximum out-of-pocket gone up? Would a different plan type fit better now?
